Our goal is to bolster and enhance the prosperity of both rural and urban farmers, with a particular emphasis on fostering success within BIPOC communities.
Our goal is to bolster and enhance the prosperity of both rural and urban farmers, with a particular emphasis on fostering success within BIPOC communities.
Our mission encompasses the following objectives:
1. Forge collaborations to introduce innovative hybrid food distribution models and sales channels, aiming to expedite the journey of food from farms to family tables, with an emphasis on serving BIPOC and food-distressed communities.
2. Enhance food democracy and equity by nurturing the growth and sustainability of humanity through farming, agriculture, food, and technology. We seek to foster a more unified and connected populace within the agricultural space.
3. Ignite a new era of young farmers by inspiring, educating, and motivating youth and their communities. We aim to equip them with a unique digital ecosystem centered around farming and agriculture, thereby stimulating their creativity and directing their pursuit of excellence within the agriculture sector.
4. Encourage innovative thinking to develop new solutions that support families and communities through increased accessibility to healthier food choices.
The U.S. Farmer Connect movement is grounded in our belief that the well-being of humanity begins with the Earth, involving cultivation, nurturing, growth, harvest, learning, connection, and preservation.
Recognizing the global food shortage, we affirm the necessity of cultivating more food and equipping communities with the skills to grow their own produce.
As the health of American land and soils is compromised by chemical usage and pesticides, we believe in the urgency to discover enhanced methods to restore and sustain soil and land health.
Acknowledging the disproportionate impact on diverse communities, we believe in the importance of devising more urban food production solutions.
With the surge in gun violence among young people, we believe in the transformative power of initiatives like "Urban Pod Farming and Vacant Lot Farming," providing youth with positive alternatives and pathways.
Understanding the need for hope among the young, we pledge to lend an ear to their experiences in urban farming and its life-changing impacts, like the inspiring story of a young man who perceived himself as the parent of his growing plants.
Emphasizing the importance of worldly understanding for our youth, we will shed light on how growing and distributing food can change lives and outline the journey of food from the farm to the table.
Recognizing the need for job opportunities and career paths, we will highlight the nuances of the food production cycle, the associated workforce development implications, potential higher education paths, and local farming/food markets and employment opportunities.
Asserting the significance of connection in the realms of agricultural science and food creation, we have devised a platform that bridges the gap between food and people, recounting food narratives, sharing intersections of food with life, and inviting thoughts on how food can best nourish our communities.
Asserting the potential prosperity in farming, we will investigate how future food creation methods could yield business prosperity and utilize technology to enhance productivity. Innovations such as vertical farming and aquaponics will feature prominently in these discussions.
We’re on a Mission to Impact the Lives of People and Communities to Be the Best Version of Themselves
